WHAT WE BELIEVE

WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT, FUNDAMENTAL, BAPTIST CHURCH.

This means we are independent of any outside governing body or counsel. We are not Protestant. We believe the Bible is God-breathed without error, perfectly preserved, and relevant to everyone everywhere. We believe that this leads us to the Baptist tradition, meaning Biblical authority; local church autonomy (independence); that each believer can come before God in prayer; that there are two Bible-sanctioned offices in the church, Pastor and Deacon; that each believer is responsible for his own decisions; that the church membership is comprised only of saved and baptized (immersed) believers; and that we are to separate from sin; and that the state and church have their own areas of responsibility, but that neither should control the other.

AS SUCH, WE HOLD TO CERTAIN BELIEFS AND PRACTICES.

We believe there is one God in three persons, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus died to save all mankind, and rose again from the dead. We believe that anyone can be saved, if they repent of their sin and ask Jesus to save them. We believe that only immersion shows the biblical death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, and that it does not save, nor wash away sin or give grace. We believe the love of God compels us to tell others about the good news (gospel) as revealed in the Bible. We believe in God's definition of marriage: one man and one woman for life, and that anything else is sin in God's eyes. We believe that God is perfect, and that no one was born in the wrong body. We believe that each person should abstain from any physical relationship until married. We believe that believers should separate from sin unto God. We believe that each believer should be faithful in the Bible and constant in prayer. We believe God's desire is to have a personal relationship with everyone in the world, and that He loves each and every person in the world.
