Consider Eternity

Consider Eternity

Have you considered eternity?

There is an emptiness in all of our lives that we try desperately to fill. That emptiness is there because we are all born as sinners.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

God created us to live in a close relationship with Him, but because of our sin problem, we rebel against Him.

“But your iniquities (sins) have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2

Sin not only affects us in our life, but also after this life. After our body dies, our soul will live forever, somewhere. If we die in our sin, our eternity will be spent in Hell.

“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23a

But because God loves us so much, He had a solution to this problem.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“But God commendeth (shows) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

We can’t work or earn our way to Heaven, and we could never be good enough – but Jesus paid the price for us! All we have to do is put our faith in what He did!

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

You can receive Jesus as your Saviour right now!

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

God promises to give salvation to each person who believes that Jesus died and rose again to pay the price for their sin and is willing to accept the free gift that He is offering.

“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23b

All we have to do is pray to God, confess our sin (change our mind and agree with God that He is right); Turn from your sin and turn to Christ; and invite Christ into your life to forgive your sin and be Saviour of your life.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

When we do this, we become a child of God, and can for the first time, have real peace in our life.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

"But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” John 1:12

If you prayed to receive Christ, we want to encourage you to find a Bible preaching church where you can get encouragement and direction in your new found faith. The most important thing now is to pray, begin reading the Bible (God’s Word), and tell others about your relationship with Christ.
