January 30, 1939 - November 6, 2016

Frank Workman was an alumnus of Bob Jones University and was in the Gospel preaching ministry since 1961. His servant heart served as a model example of a New Testament assistant pastor. Saved in his junior year of high school, he surrendered to God’s will early in his life. His godly character, wisdom and discernment were a blessing to many. He had served churches in Michigan, Minnesota and Ohio and his reputation as a loyal assistant echoed throughout fundamentalism.

He and his wife, Laura, came to Troy Baptist Church with both their children, Doug and Beth, in August of 1988, where he faithfully served until his home-going. Pastor Workman and his family ministered for the Lord and to the people of TBC and he was a tremendous blessing to Pastor as he assisted in teaching, preaching and visiting. Throughout his years of faithful ministry, he has always enjoyed his family, his grandson, and his church family.

Pastor Workman went home to be with his Saviour on Sunday, November 6th, 2016. Visitation was held at Baird Funeral Home from 4-7pm on Friday, November 11. At Troy Baptist Church on Saturday, November 12, there was a visitation held at 10am, and the home-going service at 11:00am. The graveside was at Riverside Cemetery.
